Truly, Peacock has established itself in 2024, as the premier place for powerful documentaries and docuseries. Because this year, they’ve not only released a bevy of them, but every single one of them have featured thoughtful points, objectivity and they work to educate over sensationalize, and that is a big deal. Because that’s what a documentary should do. It should offer facts, and be opinion free, and well, Peacock is showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to releasing these types of shows and films.

Simply because they recently unveiled the trailer, key art, and release date for another powerful docuseries entitled, Making Manson. Which will indeed examine the life and times of Charles Manson, one of America’s most infamous people, and ponder upon his life and his crimes like never before. • Premiering November 19 on Peacock, Making Manson uncovers new revelations from Charles Manson’s own words, offering the most comprehensive Manson portrait yet on film or television.   

 

• Featuring never-before-heard audio of Manson culled from more than 100 hours of intimate conversations recorded over 20 years up until his death in 2017, the series offers new details about Manson’s past and surprising insights into his worldview. Nearly 20 contributors appear in the series, from those closest to his crimes in “The Family” to family members of victims, some speaking out on-camera first time.

ABOUT MAKING MANSON 
An explosive series offering unfiltered insights into America's most notorious killer, Charles Manson. Through 20 years' worth of never-before-aired conversations, those closest to the case have their views challenged as Manson talks openly about his part in the infamous crimes, as well as his upbringing, criminal youth and his true feelings about "The Family." Manson reveals the cruelty he suffered in reform school and the childhood experiences that made him who he was. Former "Family" members listen to the exclusive conversations and are taken back to the time when they "would do anything for Charlie." Manson recounts the early crimes that led to the murder spree in the summer of ‘69, laying out an explanation of loyalty and brotherhood that pushes against the accepted motive: his desire to incite Helter Skelter.
