Written by John Edward Betancourt It is definitely safe to say, that the Peacock series, Poker Face, is the most refreshing crime series of the year. In large part thanks to its supremely unique setup. Since Charlie Cale is a supremely nontraditional gumshoe, one that really does feel akin to an everyday person with a genuinely unique gift, and that’s allowed for the audience to immediately connect with her and root for her every step of the way, and she needs our support. Because she also takes on incredible cases that captivate as well, the kind that are complete with meaning and people that commit these crimes that aren’t traditional villains in the slightest, since they have depth to them. All of which has made for must-see television, and thankfully… this season of storytelling won’t be the show’s last. For recently Peacock announced that Poker Face will be getting a second season, and that is just wonderful news. Simply because… this is an outright amazing series. One that the fans cannot get enough of, courtesy of the show’s intelligent and compelling writing and amazing acting and everything in between.
