Written by John Edward Betancourt Caution: This article contains spoilers for Episode Five of ‘That Dirty Black Bag’. To revisit the previous episode, click here. It is definitely safe to say… that last week’s episode of That Dirty Black Bag on AMC+, outright surprised its audience. After all, ‘Chapter Three: Alliances’ ended with some big reveals and some big surprises, the kind that made it seem as though the fallout of Eve’s decision and the pending arrival of Bronson’s brutes was going to be the focus of the next episode, instead of a powerful exploration that dug into the past and showed us how everyone arrived at the points they’re at now. But alas, that was the bold twist that this series took and well, in the end… it was definitely a wise decision on the part of the writer’s room. Since it truly added incredible gravity to the next chapter in this powerful tale. Because a return to the present with backstories in hand, could only mean one thing… that this series was about to kick into overdrive and work toward bringing everything together in a brisk manner and that is precisely what we got in ‘Chapter Five: Justice’. For this is a story that saw Red Bill and Sheriff McCoy begin to properly make their way back to town after spending days in the desert and the mines for that matter as well, and their return will undoubtedly bring about some serious conflict for certain. Since Red Bill saw the marks on McCoy’s back, indicating to him the potential ties that McCoy had to the whole mess involving his mother and that set the stage for grand showdown between these two men. Not to mention, there is now incredible trouble waiting for McCoy back in town. Since his big brother’s thugs have arrived and set up shop and were so eager to get their hands on the money that they were ready to do something quite drastic during an important event. But while setup and tension and progress were quite nice, let’s be honest… it is Eve’s fate that had all of us tuning in eagerly to this particular tale. Because we simply had to know if she was going to face charges or not for what she did to Nathan and as it turned out… she was going to pay the piper. For this was murder and she was caught and that pushed Steve to finally decide how he wanted to handle his relationship with Eve. Which for him, involved putting his love of Eve above anything else. To the point where he brought gold to the Sheriff’s office in an attempt to buy her freedom. But Eve simply had enough of fighting and running and being alone and regardless of Steve’s romantic overtures, knowing she could never truly have him was enough to just rob her of hope and that eventually brought about the big event in question. Specifically, her hanging. An act that forced Steve and Symone to watch helplessly as someone that meant the world to them died right before their eyes. And this once again hammered home the savage nature of this story and this harrowing time period and outright made it clear that going forward, all bets are off for this story. Because if someone as important to the story as Eve can die in the blink of an eye, anyone can, and with trouble still looming on the horizon… who knows who the next casualty of the wild west will be. But while we wait to see what troubles come next, we can once again applaud a quality story. Because this episode didn’t waste a singular moment and found unique ways to tie together the past with the present in a manner that added weight to everything, we learned last week and well, all the ending of this episode does is leave us hungry for more. Because we simply have to know what other bold storytelling choices us await us and that is going to make the wait for next week’s tale, an excruciating one for certain. Until next time.

Written by John Edward Betancourt Caution: This article contains spoilers for Episode Three of ‘Reacher’. To revisit the previous episode, click here. Normally in crime dramas… answers and revelations about the case in question are reserved for late in the book or late in the season. Simply because the storytellers want to engage the reader or viewer and truly build tension and interest and curiosity and well, this is a formula that works like a charm. Because when the mystery is engaging and intricate, we do indeed bury ourselves in the pages or lock our eyes on the screen. So, we can see how the mystery comes together moment by moment and well, this age-old way of handling a crime drama is so engrained in our hearts and minds, that it is downright shocking when we encounter one that opts to shift away from this format post haste. Because there are stories in this vein that are eager to break free from the norms and try something new and exciting and wow the audience and one way to do that, is to tip their hand early and really… this type of twist is top of mind today, simply because the next episode of Reacher on Prime Video… put all of its cards on the table quite early in the game. For ‘Spoonful’ is an episode that informed us exactly what kind of case we are dealing with and gave us some idea of who the major players are in this mess, and it accomplished that feat by way to two key moments. The first of which, involved quite the uncomfortable and awkward phone call with the Secret Service. Since a colleague of Joe’s finally got through to the folks in Margrave and learned some bad news about him. But once tears were shed and condolences were exchanged, Reacher and the team were able to learn that Joe was working on some kind of counterfeiting operation in Margrave, one foreign in nature and that forced the team to split up to uncover who the players were in this mess and that led to some ugly moments for certain. The kind that saw Roscoe be humiliated with busy work in order to keep the new Police Chief off their trail and this sequence also ‘treated’ us to a touch of down-home racism for Finlay to deal with. Since he went to talk with Spivey while Reacher went to check on a lead involving the truck driver that died alongside Joe and uh… despite having a gun and looking like a cop, he endured a beat down because of the color of skin. Which served as some fine commentary on the state of affairs currently, regarding how some cops treat Black people. However, Finlay let it slide because there were bigger fish to fry in the moment. Such as the fact that all roads in this case led to Kliner Industries. Because Spivey called the company before he disappeared into thin air, since Finlay didn’t find the man inside his own home, and Kliner Industries also had ties to the truck driver in question. And a tense meeting between Reacher and Finlay and the asshat that is Kliner, made it clear that this company is dirty and responsible for everything. But of course, in order to bring them to justice, evidence will need to be gathered and that will be no easy task. Since Kliner is eager to cover his tracks and put down those poking around, as evidenced by the harrowing ending of this tale. Where Reacher had to sneak about to bring down a pair of assassins before coming to learn that Spivey… is dead. If anything, having the show tip its hand now, is a brilliant stroke of genius storytelling wise. Since it invests us in a different manner. Because now we know that a good old fashioned, Americana southern town has been propped up by dirty money from a dirty dude and that’s un-American and disgusting and demands justice. As does what happened to Joe. But despite coming to understand what’s at stake here three episodes in, there is still some mystery for us to invest in, since we are eager to learn who is behind the printing of the fake money. But above all else, what truly has us eager to continue the journey now that we are in the know, is Reacher. For this show has established the fact that he will punish the wicked in an epic manner and stop at nothing to get what he wants… and watching him fight to bring down Kliner and all involved, is going to lead to some epic and satisfying moments. Until next time. Written by John Edward Betancourt When one thinks of the cozy murder mystery, specific expectations come to mind. In that, said mystery should be whimsical and fun and never take itself too seriously and of course, it should be filled with plucky characters and devoid of deeper meaning. Because the cozy murder mystery is supposed to be a different kind of storytelling experience, one that should entertain over taxing the mind and well… those expectations are so universal that that is the formula that most stories in this vein follow to a tee, and there’s been little complaint… because that type of tale really does entertain and bring joy to the masses. But there are those out there, who have wondered as to whether or not this genre can be more and can challenge its audience while still entertaining through joy and one such writer that pondered upon this was Julian Unthank. And he was so intrigued by the possibilities that could come forth from such a twist/tweak that he set out to see if it was possible and came to discover… that it is. For his creation, Queens of Mystery (on Acorn TV) is a cozy murder mystery that not only entertains in a fun and whimsical and creative manner, but it also dives deep into unique corners of the human condition and for proof… well then look no further than its next episode. For ‘Death by Vinyl, First Chapter’ is a story that is filled with whimsical and fun moments, the kind that come forth by way of a grand reunion of a band that Cat used to play in called Volcanic Youth. Since the cattiness and ego present from a bad breakup years ago, leads to all kinds of quirky and awkward moments and fights and everything in between before the case gets underway. But beneath all that fighting and reminiscing about the old days… and old fights, is a powerful parable. One that speaks to the power of the past and how sometimes we refuse to get beyond it or face it and how that can be quite toxic for us and that was incredible to find buried beneath the fluffy stuff and the deeper stuff didn’t end there. Because this episode also features some thoughts on what it means to be humble and how we remain humble… as evidenced by Matilda’s mission to discover who harmed a sweet wiener dog named Roscoe. But while it was amazing to see that kind of depth present in a cozy mystery, we’d be foolish to not discuss the mystery at hand, because this chapter sets the stage for a doozy. Because when singer Electra Bliss is removed from this earth in a unique manner, the case quickly stonewalls. For there are no clues to be found. Just the possibility that someone wants to settle a score from ages ago, but the bitterness present here means that anyone could have snapped and done her in and that alone sets the stage for a stunning part two. One that will undoubtedly dive deeper into the human condition since revenge and echoes from the past, always make for a compelling analysis on our faults and how we can correct them. However, while we wait to dig into that, we can still celebrate the wonder of this intelligent and whimsical tale. Because when it brought about the laughs, it delivered impressively and when it gave us something to chew upon, it most certainly gave us pause and what’s wild… is that the man that challenged this genre to be more, didn’t even write this script. Those duties fell to Matthew Thomas this go round and his masterful handling of Julian’s vision, speaks volumes to its purity and excites us to no end to continue the journey. So, we can continue to watch this beautiful hybrid evolve and it will be fascinating to see what kind of commentary and fun and facts await us, in ‘Death by Vinyl, Final Chapter’. Until next time. Written by John Edward Betancourt Normally, the end of a season of a popular or beloved television show, brings about a bit of a void discussion wise and understandably so. For the season in question stood for itself and there’s little to talk about outside of say… a cliffhanger or a twist. So, we patiently share our final thoughts with one another and wait for the new season to arrive. But every once in a while, you run into a show that is so incredibly layered and full of meaning and meaningful moments and filled with such dynamic characters… that more discussion needs to take place and well, that’s top of mind today… because The Chelsea Detective on Acorn TV is a show that demands we dive deeper into its wonder. Because this is a crime drama unlike any other on television right now and all of the wonderful things it accomplished on the screen need to be celebrated. Such as the fact, that it features one of the most diverse character rosters on the market with characters that properly represent all walks of life. For instance, Max Arnold is dyslexic and solves cases differently than other detectives and that’s huge to see because that’s not something often represented on television in the slightest. Nor is having a woman of color, much less a woman… be a Detective Sergeant and the same goes for the fact that Ashley, the Medical Examiner on this series, is deaf. Which really does make this a progressive show for certain, one that puts forth a simple blueprint for how to handle diversity in television and how we should handle it in our everyday lives as well. A feat that season one accomplished, by offering acceptance for all of these characters. Because at no point does anyone offer some kind of remark about how Max learns and processes a case, nor does anyone challenge Priya’s standing and we don’t hear any snide remarks for Ashley or questions about her abilities to function as an ME. They’re simply living in this world and doing their jobs and are respected for who they are and what they do and that’s precisely how it needs to be in the world. And seeing that kind of normalcy regarding our ‘differences’ is revolutionary for certain, and it needs to be celebrated here in detail because that’s a huge step in the right direction and recognizing its positivity is how we encourage others to follow. However, we would also be remiss to not take a moment and talk about how the wonder of this show extends beyond its incredible diversity. Because this is a detective series that is free of stylized cases and bombastic villains and quite frankly… slick and edgy investigators. It simply looks at the world and the strange motivations that go into murder and the impact it has on everyday people and how regular people bring those that cross that line to justice, and that’s equally as revolutionary. Since it points out that this kind of act happens often in our world and doesn’t always feature motivations revolving around bringing down the system or teaching humanity a lesson. It sometimes involves a poor choice, or one wrought forth from anger and it hurts people dearly and changes lives forever and that’s equally as important to point out to audiences, since it grounds murder in sobering reality and that's a good thing, since at times… it really is presented in a fantastical manner. If anything, everything we’ve discussed today makes this a one-of-a-kind show. One that clearly offers more than we've already discussed in our recaps, and its depth and intelligence and outright humanity really do deserve a spotlight and now that we’ve done just that… all we can do now, is wait and hope for a second season announcement and this show deserves that as well. Because this is the kind of crime drama that television needs right now, since it is already light years ahead of so many others in the genre courtesy of representation, but also because it brings a powerful gravitas back the genre, something it has been missing for ages now and hopefully we genuinely do get many more seasons with Max and Priya, and their dynamic team, and learn a great deal about the human condition in the process. Written by John Edward Betancourt Caution: This article contains spoilers for the series premiere of ‘Harry Wild’. We are taught in life, that we must follow a very specific path when we reach adulthood. One where we choose a career path that calls to us and stick with it. Because when it beckons to us, it is undoubtedly where we belong in life, and we should pour ourselves into it and leave an impact on our field so that when we leave it years down the line… we feel satisfied with everything we’ve done and can enjoy our retirement without a single regret in our hearts. If anything, this is a lesson that has true merit, since this is a foundational pillar to modern society, one that we have seen time and time again, help so many find their path in life. However, the only drawback to this particular lesson, is that it does tend to pigeonhole us and lock us into one path… rather than let us explore our other passions and talents in life. Which is a shame since human beings are incredibly diverse when it comes to their talents and when one discovers they can do more than one thing in this life… it ignites our souls in ways we never thought possible since it allows for us to feel quite special. But instead, we are taught we must spend every waking hour focusing on that prime career to become the master we know we can be and that’s why a lot of our secondary gifts aren’t discovered until later in life and well, that discovery is paramount to our discussion today, because it serves as the central theme of the new Acorn TV series, Harry Wild. Now in this particular show… we are introduced to Harriet ‘Harry’ Wild, a literature professor that is preparing to bid farewell to her teaching career and enter that fulfilling retirement phase. But shortly after she bids farewell to teaching in ‘When Harry Met Fergus’, an incredible and terrifying surprise helps her to uncover a hidden talent she never knew she had. In that, she is mugged by a young man out of the blue and stays with her son, who is also a police inspector, and his family for a few days to recover. And while she heals, she finds herself pouring over a case file and the clues that clearly indicate the killer in this particular case, is a literature nut is and is acting out a particular piece, and that could help lead to his capture. A revelation that her son wants no part of, but she’s convinced she is right. Which of course brings that talent in question to light. In that, Harry’s attention to detail and her instincts when it comes to people, makes her an excellent investigator and just like that, she’s on the case and diving deep into the clues and she even enlists the help of her mugger, a young man named Fergus… to help her crack it, as penance for his crime. And as expected, Harry turns out to be an incredible investigator and solves that tough case. Which is an ending that is proof positive, that second acts are possible in life, and that we can do incredible things when we nurture all of our talents. Making it clear that perhaps the old way of thinking needs a bit of an update for certain, so that people get the chance to really understand what they are capable of. But for the sake of the show, this discovery benefits the audience, by informing us that we are about to embark on quite the ride. One where this former professor is going to embrace her newfound skills as an investigator and accomplish wonders in the process since she’s darn good at it and well, that’s going to make for some original storytelling. Since this is a concept, you just don’t see in crime dramas or cozy mysteries these days, and it also doesn’t hurt that the iconic Jane Seymour is the lead in this tale since she always delivers in any role she takes on, and well, this writer is definitely hooked and eager to see what kind of incredible crimes Harry is going to solve in the weeks to come… as she settles into her second act as gumshoe. Until next time. Written by John Edward Betancourt Caution: This article contains spoilers for Episode 406 of ‘Killing Eve’. To revisit the previous episode, click here. It is definitely safe to say that the final season of Killing Eve on BBC America has been nothing short of a masterclass exploration on the dangers of revenge. Because minute by minute, we’ve watched the fire that revenge starts, burn the souls of three people we care about. To the point where they’ve made poor and angry choices that aren’t like them in the slightest and well… it would seem this exploration isn’t going to slow down anytime soon. Because revenge is a state of being that is host to many more destructive phases and this week’s episode saw our trio of heroes/antiheroes indulge in the next phase. Which involves… snapping at those that matter to us and indulging in whatever vendetta we can to satiate our needs. A feat that ‘Oh Goodie, I’m the Winner’ accomplished by having the trio turn upon one another in unique ways. But not before a reunion came into play. For shortly after Villanelle was stabbed in the back with an arrow from a clever assassin from the Twelve, everyone minus Carolyn, came together in Pam’s hotel room to remove the offending arrow and take a moment to regroup and think and well… this was the first inkling that things were going to be ugly in this episode going forward. Because there was the wrong kind of tension between Villanelle and Eve and understandably so. After all, the latter had the former locked up as a measure of revenge regarding their past and Villanelle’s association with the Twelve and that led to a lot of icy moments between the two of them. The kind that motivated them to go their separate ways and return to their respective plans. Which for Villanelle involved getting complete revenge upon Helene, and for Eve, she wanted information from Helene. Which eventually brought the two of them to her hotel room wherein Villanelle had quite the decision to make. Wait on her need for revenge and bloodlust and let Eve finally break her former handler and get the intelligence on the Twelve and win the day or indulge in her fury. Sadly, being blinded by what the vendetta does to one’s soul, motivated Villanelle to choose the latter option and just put Helene down for good, robbing her former love interest of any worthwhile information and putting this skilled assassin in a dark place, since she found no solace in getting what she wanted. But of course, that kind of ugly engenders more ugly as evidenced by what Eve did next. Because she was furious that she was robbed of a chance to handle the Twelve on her own and that motivated her to track down Carolyn and Lars. Wherein she let loose on Carolyn regarding her lies, and she also did the unthinkable. In that, she stormed into that cabin and killed Lars with impunity. In essence ruining Carolyn’s chance to get answers, completing a vicious and unhealthy cycle of revenge. One that speaks to its power and how it destroys us slowly and forces us to do horrible things and well… this particular twist deserves a round of applause since it was dark and realistic and put the plot on a whole new course. Because now the trio are shattered in every way imaginable and lost to the wind. Since Eve disappeared to who knows where and Villanelle, well she went to try and hang out with the assassin that tried to kill her with the arrow. Simply because she too wanted to escape the world after dealing with years of chaos and pain. Making it seem for a brief moment that this story will end with just devastation and sorrow since all was lost at this point. But Carolyn’s quick thinking, may in fact, have kept the search for the Twelve and the quest for revenge alive. Since she did grab hold of the little black book that Lars had on his person and that could provide clues regarding the identities and locations of the senior leadership of the Twelve. Which could in turn, pull Eve and Villanelle out of their funk and refocus them one last time to bring these bastards down at last. But even then, it may be nothing more than a hurtful discovery that will lead to a pyrrhic victory at best. For revenge has brought them all to their lowest and darkest points and it will be interesting to see if they can find a way to be made whole again… or if darkness will consume them in the end and speaking of the end… we don’t have long to wait to find out how their journey is going to come to a close. For Sunday will bring forth the two-hour series finale of this phenomenal show and that is going to make the wait for said finale both excruciating and bittersweet. For while we cannot wait to finally see how this all comes together, we will also have to say goodbye to one of the most unique and dynamic spy shows to ever hit the airwaves. Until next time. Written by John Edward Betancourt For the most part, coming to the end of an incredible story… is quite the somber affair. After all, whether it be in print or on screen, we’ve been privy to magnificent moments courtesy of the story. The kind that has lifted our spirits and broken our hearts and the thought of no longer spending time in that universe, with those characters is difficult to reconcile. Which is why when the end arrives… there is silence and tears and a gamut of other emotions… as we work to process the end of a journey that captivated us like never before and moved us in ways, we never thought were possible. But there was mention of the fact, that somber and melancholy aren’t always the norm when it comes to endings. Because sometimes, the end of a story is satisfying and beautiful and there are other times… we cannot wait to reach it. Mainly because it will answer critical questions, we’ve pondered upon regarding the characters or the plot for ages on end and having the full picture and closure is too good to resist and well… the need for answers is precisely why fans of the AMC series Better Call Saul have been eagerly awaiting the sixth and final season of this show. Because Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould are well known for offering up proper closure to their intricate stories and well… we are all dying to know what it is that motivated Jimmy McGill to embrace the darkness within and transform into the version of Saul Goodman we met in Breaking Bad. In fact, our curiosity regarding that moment and how it will come to fruition has only grown over the past two years, since there has been little information regarding the final season outside of a release date and a trailer. But all of that is about to change, for we here at Nerds That Geek have had a chance to see the first two episodes of season six in advance, and in order to finally whet your appetite and give you something to cling onto before April 18th, we thought it be best to offer up a preview of season six and what you can expect from it… in a spoiler-free manner of course. Because to leak the juicy details beforehand would be a crime so severe that not even Saul Goodman could get an acquittal for us. So instead, let’s talk about the fact… that this is the show’s boldest and bravest season to date. A feat that this series accomplishes in part, by offering up a simmering tension that hangs behind every single moment during those first two episodes. Making it clear that we are indeed in the endgame now and since the audience is fully aware of the fact that tragedy awaits us, now is the time to start to prepare us for it mentally, through the tension surrounding Jimmy . So that bracing our hearts and minds for that pinpointed moment… becomes the norm and that tension is extended to other key moments in these opening two chapters. Giving rise to edge of your seat moments that not only grab your attention but leave you pondering upon the nature of what you’ve just seen and what it means for the future of everyone in the story. Speaking of that… it is important to note that it isn’t just the tension that has you concerned with the fates of every colorful and dynamic character in this world. Because this is a season that brings forth some supremely powerful decisions character growth wise. The kind that will undoubtedly have people buzzing after the premiere for several reasons. In part because of the unexpected and incredible nature of those decisions, but also because they might be what truly leads Jimmy down the tragic path, we know he is inching toward and well… what makes this of note and worthy of our time and attention, is that it speaks to the fact that stunning moments and decisions will be the norm as the season rolls along, the kind that will undoubtedly move us and rattle us and potentially leave us in tears as we watch them motivate Jimmy to embrace the bad and all the trappings Saul Goodman has to offer, and position others for their respective fates as well. Because we cannot forget, that not everyone in this series makes their way to the next and that is worrisome as well. Which means that this final season, is positioning us for what this series hinted at what it would be back in season one… a grand tragedy of sorts. One that will truly allow for us to bear witness to the absolute breaking of a man that could have been saved and redeemed and while we will get answers, we will also go through the gamut of emotions we outlined earlier. Because the incredible performances here sell every minute of this long goodbye with gravity and power. The kind that reminds us that in the end, we don’t want to leave this universe behind. Because regardless of the fact it is filled with flawed people, they’re people we love and they’re people we don’t want to see transition toward darkness. But alas, they will… for this is a universe where all roads lead to sorrow and the only joy we will find in Jimmy’s fate… is that we will finally fully understand, every angle… of his tragic and heartbreaking journey. Written by John Edward Betancourt Caution: This article contains spoilers for Episode 215 of ‘Central Park’. To revisit the previous episode, click here. One thing that we can all agree upon, is that season two of Central Park on Apple TV+, has been nothing short of a moving and thoughtful experience. Because every single episode this season, has explored the characters in a dynamic manner. Wherein we've learned a great deal about them, and as an added bonus… the show has done a wonderful job of exploring the ups and downs of life, and the beautiful moments it sends our way. Allowing for the viewer to just get lost in an animated journey about the world and how it functions and well, we’ve become so used to the show going this route storytelling wise, that none of us saw the surprise twist coming in this week’s tale. For ‘Where There’s Smoke’ opened up in a manner that made it appear, we were going to be treated to a grand exploration involving the nature of death and how we face it. Since the Tillerman’s were headed to a wake for an old friend of the park, and this was Molly and Cole’s first real experience with such matters. But shortly after they arrived at the wake and Paige came to learn that the departed had some kind of dirt on the mayor and his shady dealings… this episode shifted gears and outright surprised us all. Because it turned out that this particular tale wasn’t going to be a grand examination of everyday life and the bittersweet nature of death. Oh no, this instead, was a harkening back to the central plot that’s hung over this show from day one. Specifically, Bitsy Brandenham’s desire to buy Central Park and develop it to her liking and design, so she could be richer than she already was and leave behind a mega legacy of property development and well, that little surprise made for one incredible tale. Since it basically set the stage for another showdown between the Tillerman family and Bitsy and it might be a costly showdown for certain, as evidenced by how the hunt for dirt on the mayor went. Because not only did Paige and the kids have to search every nook and cranny of the house to find it, to the point where they found themselves briefly stuck in a hidden room that held the prize they sought. But once they had the dirt in question in hand, they had to deal with the mayor himself. Because he came to this wake, to get his hands on that critical information and that led to a physical showdown, one where the outcome was uncertain at times. But eventually, the Tillerman family won the day and got the dirt Paige needed to expose the corruption at city hall, but it will definitely come at one heck of a price. Since the dishonorable Mayor Whitebottom issued quite the threat to Paige. In that, if she printed that story and exposed him to the world, he’d make every effort to bring Owen down with him in the ensuing fallout. Which of course, gave Paige pause since it would change the course of her family's life. But Owen told her point blank, she had to write this story… regardless of the risk and well, that motivated her to continue her work and she will have to work fast to bring this to light. For while the family was battling a wheezy mayor for the truth, Bitsy was working hard to execute the purchase of the park and that involved wooing a Swiss billionaire to invest in her plans, in the most creative way imaginable. By more or less leaving Helen to sit down and talk with the man while he painted her majesty and well… by mostly allowing Helen to sell the plan (since Bitsy was hiding in a food car), she was able to lower the man’s guard and open him up to the possibility of spending a little money in Manhattan. Giving Bitsy a huge win and that is what creates a sense of urgency for Paige. Since you know Bitsy will waste little time in pulling together the cash from this gentleman and her other investors to complete her two-year quest. If anything, that’s a heck of a way to set the stage for the season two finale. In part because none of us saw these plot twists coming in the slightest. Since there were hints that Bitsy might be rethinking her plans and of course, the show’s hard lean into commentary made it seem as though we were heading into a new storytelling phase for the show. But also, because… the stakes have never been higher. After all, Owen’s job is now hanging in the balance, and the minutes are ticking away regarding the sale and that is going to make the wait for next week’s episode as excruciating as can be. So we can see if the Tillerman family can stand up to Bitsy one more time… to keep the wonder of Central Park in the hands of the people. Until next time. |
