Written by John Edward Betancourt In many ways, the concept of the manhunt is considered to be quite modern in nature. After all, we have seen law enforcement make use of technology and its powerful reach to bring criminals to justice, and we’ve even seen them play out live on a consistent basis through the news and through reality television. All of which makes it seem that this is something invented in the 20th Century and has only become more refined a century later. But the reality is, the manhunt is something that’s been around for ages, and Apple TV+ is ready to chronicle its earliest days, courtesy of a new series. For recently, Apple TV+ let it be known that this March, it will release, Manhunt. A series that chronicles the search for one America’s most infamous killers, John Wilkes Booth. Yes, that’s right, the man responsible for killing Lincoln, spent his days on the run. Something we don’t discuss often since the gravity of his decision to pull the trigger upon one of America’s finest presidents overshadows everything else. But this is an important story, one that does indeed chronicle one of the earliest and greatest manhunts in our nation’s history and to properly announce the show’s arrival, Apple was kind enough to release some first-look photos to accompany the details on this brand-new series.
