Simply because, this past year has been brutal when it comes to cancellations. Since we’ve seen so many amazing shows go off the air via abrupt cancellation, for all kinds of reasons. But regardless of what they are, it has made fans worried that their series might be next, which is why all the news coming from Apple TV+ has been quite wonderful to say the least. Simply because the streamer continues to offer up early season renewals for some of their most beloved shows. For earlier this week, they renewed Slow Horses for a sixth season and earlier today, Shrinking received a third season order, mere days after its second season premiere. Which is wonderful news that will allow for Jimmy’s healing journey to continue, and hopefully it’s a sign that the tide is about to turn when it comes to cancellations. But in the meantime, we get to celebrate some lovely news, and to properly to do it justice, here are all the details on this momentous renewal, courtesy of Apple TV+. ‘On the heels of the second season premiere of “Shrinking,” Apple TV+ today announced that the critically acclaimed, Emmy Award-nominated comedy has landed a renewal for season three. Co-created by Jason Segel, Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, the first two episodes of “Shrinking” season two are now streaming globally on Apple TV+, and new episodes premiere every Wednesday. The news was announced at New York Comic Con where creators Segel and Goldstein, along with stars Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell and Ted McGinley, took the Main Stage for a special discussion around the new season. Critics and fans all over the world continue to praise “Shrinking,” as season two has already been hailed as “one of TV's warmest shows,” and a “feel-good therapy sitcom,” that “just keeps getting better,” with “superb writing,” “heartfelt and hilarious” moments and “witty one-liners and A+ physical comedy” from a “tremendous cast.” “I’m so lucky to work on ‘Shrinking’ with actors, writers and a crew so talented that they all elevate the material,” said said co-creator and executive producer Bill Lawrence. “I’m even luckier that they are people I’d want to spend time with anyway.
