Being a fan of an actor or actress can be stressful.  You feel so bad when the make the wrong choices for their careers and are devastated when they make a terrible movie.  But if you are running a fan site for the star, you would feel even worse, but try to spin it as much as possible since your love runs deep for the actor and you don’t want to see them fade away.  I must admit that I have so much respect for several of the fan sites out there, since they are following one person day and night and trying to earn even a little nod from their idols. 

Nick Chambers has won the opportunity of a lifetime.  Running a website for the love he has for actress Jill Goddard for many years, he has won the chance to have dinner with his celeb crush.  But all is not as it seems as he is watching the teaser and press conference for her new movie when he receives an internet call from a man named Chord who has some distressing news about the night.  The dinner has been canceled and Jill is the one to blame.  Chord does however offer something better for the fan, as he has put several items in Nick’s hotel room that can help him get exclusive footage for the fan site.

Chord is apologetic towards Nick’s situation but seems to have something more sinister in mind about what needs to be done to justify the situation the young man is in.  Nick listens and does everything that he is told and finds out that Jill is having an affair with her manager, but his story does not end there.  Being spotted with a camera pointed towards the star's room, Jill’s manager comes to investigate what is going on and Nick wants to run, but Chord advises against it and offers the young fan a different solution.  Using a stun gun on the helpless man, Nick escapes the hotel, but Chord is not done with him, as he has yet another opportunity for Nick to be a part of and now it becomes more serious than just peeping.

With access to everything in Jill’s life on his laptop, Nick is forced into a situation that he cannot escape and for the life of him, he cannot understand why.  Receiving another internet call, a group of hackers is calling Nick, Nevada, another hacker that they want to work with, but Nick finds a use for them as he is put front and center into Jill’s life.  Wanting to get the prize shots for the young website runner, Chord ups the stakes and forces Nick to be the bad man that he always wanted to be.  With the promise of harming the young starlet if he does not comply, Nick finds out this his internet friend is more dangerous than just a hacker and is hiding in Jill’s home and will do what he wants with the actress and there is no stopping him.  Nick tries to save Jill when he sees that part of what he is seeing time delayed and with the help of the hackers that have found him, he is able to become the hero that Jill needs to survive, but will he be able to catch up to his new enemy in time?

Open Windows follows young fan site runner, Nick Chambers as he has won a dinner with his favorite actress.  When finding out that she canceled the event, Nick has found a new friend who has contacted him using the internet.  Chord seems to have Nick’s best interests in mind, but quickly Nick finds out that the man on the other end of the connection has a sinister plan to destroy the young starlet Jill Goddard’s career.  Not being about to walk away, Nick is forced to do the bidding of Chord with promise if he does not play along, Jill will be harmed in more than one way.  Trying to find out who he is up against Nick uses the group of hackers who believe that he is a master hacker himself.  Being able to locate Chord in Jill’s home and having the police on the way, Nick thinks that his night is over, but he comes to find out that it is just beginning.  With his favorite actress being kidnapped, Nick wants to find a way to save her for the psycho that has been controlling his every move.  Being able to communicate with Jill, Nick keeps her calm and tries to figure out a way of escaping, however Chord has friends all around that will do anything for him, including sacrificing someone’s life.

A disturbing look at how far someone will go to meet a person who they idolize.  With that said, I loved how the story took twists and turns throughout and would not want it changed in anyway.  Playing on the fears of causing harm to someone that is in the spotlight, it is amazing how the public would respond to such a threat, especially with the use of social media.  There seems to be no escape for Nick when he is having his strings pulled by Chord and then having Nick becoming the bad guy for the police to follow.  Without knowing if there is a true threat out there, should stars be held responsible for their actions a little bit more, or are they too happy being in the spotlight that has made them who they are today?  Happy Viewing.

Breaking into the film industry is one of the hardest things for people to do. You hear the horror stories about what some actors had to put up with before getting a shot, even to audition for a role.  Sometimes it is all about who you know, while for others it is if you have the look, and still, you have to be able to act as well.  There are several people in the acting field that you are left to wonder how they got into it, while you are left shacking your head when the truth comes out that they stumbled into it with a little bit of luck on their side.

Kevin has been trying to get into the acting industry ever since he moved out to L.A..  Not having any luck right off, he turned to alcohol, drugs and gambling to fill his waking hours, along with a job being a limo driver. Knowing that he needed a new outlook on life to break him out of his destructive ways, it took running into the love of his life, literally, to make him stop it all.  Being hit and thrown from the car was nothing compared to the love he had for Candace. Kevin took the steps to clean up his life and became the man he thought she wanted, but his life was about to change once again when she dumps him for another man.

Now alone and thinking to himself how he could have stopped this from happening, Kevin is faced with a bigger problem, losing his job.  With the limo business being cut throat and a competitor trying to steal all of his top end clients, Kevin needs to be on the top of his game and his boss will not allow for any mistakes.  But that is not the only problem for Kevin as his betting debts have become due by the end of the night.  Trying to figure out what he can do to become the best limo driver around and secure massive tips to pay off his debts, Kevin thinks back to the man that set the bar for the industry, Karl with a ‘K’.  With Karl being the best, Kevin finds himself talking to the ghost of the driver when he is in difficult situations or when extremely tired.  Looking for advice, Kevin losses his first fare of the day to the competitor and is looking for payback.

While stealing a client of his own, Kevin knows that a couple hundred dollars a ride will not help him pay off the six thousand he owes by the end of the night, but he gets a call about an extremely rich client that has been known to treat his drivers very well.  Roger Karos is a crazy billionaire that wants to have a night on the town that he, nor the world will ever forget.  Meeting Kevin for the first time, Karos has to feel him out and see how far the struggling drive is willing to go to get paid off.  Giving Kevin odd tasks to complete, the driver finds himself in more difficult situations than his sober life is used to, but it ignites something in Kevin to become the man he has always wanted to be.  Being forced to use everything at his disposal to make it through the night, Kevin is even able to use his acting skills to secure the information that he needs, all the while, trying to set up a date for when his shift is over.

Stretch follows a limo driver that has changed his entire lifestyle to keep the woman that he loves.  After she breaks up with him, he tries to fall back into his old ways, but he has done so well for the past year, he will not let himself go out like that.   Getting the news that his past life’s gambling debt has come due by the end of the night, Kevin has to find a way to make the money by the end of his shift.  But money is not the only thing on his mind, as he is looking to find someone new to replace the woman that has just destroyed him.  Between love and money, Kevin does his best at driving around the Hollywood elite, but his next client will change his life forever.  An eccentric billionaire who tips well could be just the thing to make Kevin’s night complete, but when he gets the tasks he needs to complete for Roger Karos, the gambling debt could be the least of his concerns.

Why on earth did I wait so long to watch this movie? It has been popping up on my list for weeks and I kept shooting it down since it looked silly, and you know what, it is just that.  With star power coming out of every end of it, you will be blown away by who does what in the movie.  Patrick Wilson is one of my favorite horror actors, but now I think he will make it up my list of comedic actors as well, along with a nameless cameo that will leave you shaking your head.  Full of jokes to keep every situation light hearted enough, you find yourself hoping that Kevin makes it to the end of the night to find out who the mystery woman he has been texting with during all of the nights shenanigans and if it was really worth it.  Happy Viewing.
