Written by John Edward BetancourtLet's face it, everyone loves a quality villain. There's just something spectacular when an actor is talented enough to make us despise him or her every single waking moment that they are on screen, and in recent years, one man has managed to garner plenty of our anger and frustration on The Walking Dead courtesy of David Morrissey's portrayal of Philip Blake, a.k.a. The Governor. But David's talents go far beyond simply being able to make your blood boil out of rage and frustration from appearing on your television screen. He is a skilled enough actor to stay in your minds years after a single appearance on a show since outside of Woodbury, David is well known for playing Jackson Lake from the 2008 Doctor Who Christmas Special "The Next Doctor". Not to mention this is a man who I have learned is also fully capable of singing and dancing, thanks to his stint as Ripley Holden in 2004's Blackpool. So why would this look back at David's career be important? Well that's simple my friends, the Governor himself is taking a break from Woodbury and is making his way to Denver Comic Con 2015 and that's a huge deal if you ask me. Let's be honest, his incredible performance as the Governor on The Walking Dead has catapulted David into iconic status. After all, he is a talented British actor who just happened to pull off playing a good old southern boy psychopath, complete with a flawless southern accent. Plus his portrayal of the character just happened to steal the show every single time he was on screen and that speaks to how fantastic he was on the show and how well David manages to stand out in any role he tackles. This is truly a major addition to the Denver Comic Con lineup and one that has me extremely excited. After all, it's not everyday you see an actor of David's caliber at a convention, and I most certainly cannot wait to meet him at this year's convention. The clock to DCC2015 is counting down ladies and gentlemen, and this announcement made the wait all that more difficult.
