Written by John Edward Betancourt Normally summertime is awash with all kinds of buzz about conventions. For the summer season is also con season, when everyone makes their plans to swing by either their local con or Comic-Con so that they can bask in the wonder of geekiness with their fellow nerds and get the latest news on what they can expect from the return of their favorite shows. But alas, we are only now beginning to emerge from the global pandemic and that means that for the time being, our usual buzz and plan making has to wait. But we don't have to completely be without the wonder of the con, since we can still enjoy virtual conventions until it is safe enough for all of us to gather and geek out once more. As an added bonus, to make those virtual conventions worth our while, the networks are making sure to pull out all the stops and offer up some virtual panels that will utterly delight various fanbases and for proof that this is the case, then look no further than today’s announcement. Nothing is what it seems, and no one is safe as the tension- and the body count- ratchets up. As with the past installments of the series, Slasher: Flesh & Blood will combine elements of traditional murder mystery with the intense horror and bold kills that audiences have come to expect. And they'll have to do it in a world devoid of light and hope, where the outside air is just as deadly as the walkers they face.
