After all, the Talamasca are getting their own show, and Mayfair Witches and Interview with the Vampire have bold new seasons on the way. In fact, there’s so much to look forward to, that AMC Networks thought San Diego Comic was the right time to offer up a sampling of things to come.

Over two seasons, Interview with the Vampire has attracted a loyal base of passionate fans and widespread critical acclaim, with the rare distinction of receiving 98-point scores for both its first and second seasons on Rotten Tomatoes. In season two, in the year 2022, the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Anderson) recounts his life story to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). Picking up from the bloody events in New Orleans in 1940 when Louis and teen fledgling Claudia (Hayles) conspired to kill the Vampire Lestat de Lioncourt (Reid), Louis tells of his adventures in Europe, a quest to discover Old World Vampires and the Theatre Des Vampires in Paris, with Claudia, and it is in Paris that Louis first meets the Vampire Armand (Zaman). Based on Anne Rice’s Lives of the Mayfair Witches, season two of Mayfair Witches continues the journey of Rowan Mayfair (Daddario) after she has unwittingly given birth to the demon Lasher (Jack Huston). She is determined to understand what he has become – human or monster? – and to use him to fulfill her purpose as a healer, but when tragedy strikes, she must put aside her own desires and fight to protect her family.’ ‘Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire’ Season 3 Teaser

Apple TV+ Unveils First Look & Premiere Date for Season 2 of ‘Silo’ at San Diego Comic Con7/27/2024 Written by John Edward Betancourt Truly, the Apple TV+ series, Silo, was an absolute breath of fresh when it debuted on the network last year. For this was that outlier dystopia story. One that properly blended real-world concerns together with a plot and a setting that felt natural and possible. Not to mention, it harbored an amazing cast, an equally as amazing mystery, and it was so well written and so outright incredible, that it quickly became a runaway hit. One that garnered a second season that we only know a little of. Simply because the team behind the show has been hard at work getting the show together after strike delays. But at long last, we now know more about the show, courtesy of San Diego Comic Con. For earlier today, cast members Rebecca Ferguson, Common, show creator Graham Yost and writer of the original novel Hugh Howey appeared on stage at SDCC, with special guest and season two cast member Steve Zahn, to discuss all things Silo, and reveal that November 15th will be the show’s season two premiere date. Season 3 Announcement
Today at Comic-Con International, AMC Networks announced that The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has been renewed for a third season that will be produced and set in Spain. Production of season three will begin next month and be based in Madrid, with extensive location shooting planned in the Galicia, Aragon, Catalonia and Valencia regions.
The announcement came during the show’s standing-room-only session in Hall H, attended by series stars and executive producers Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride, cast member Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, showrunner David Zabel and executive producer and director Greg Nicotero. Season three tracks Carol (McBride) and Daryl (Reedus) as they continue their journey towards home and the ones they love. As they struggle to find their way back, the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse. “We are so proud of these shows and incredibly grateful for the way this new chapter in The Walking Dead Universe has been embraced by the fans,” said Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks. “Sending Daryl, and then Carol, to France was such an inspired and visually striking move for this franchise, a chance to do something truly different. We can’t wait to continue the travels of this iconic duo with a third season produced and set in Spain, another beautiful country with a passionate TWD fanbase that is already buzzing with anticipation.” Reedus said: “I couldn’t be more thrilled to announce a third season and to be working side by side with the brilliant Melissa McBride. Season two is some of my favorite storytelling of this series. Watching Melissa shine along with our brilliant cast and crew has been one of my fondest memories playing this character. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it and we can’t wait to keep the story going.” McBride said: “I’m really appreciating the new challenges for Daryl and Carol being so far from all they’ve ever known… what it means for them, what it brings for each of them, apart and together. There’s still so much ahead to unpack in France for the coming season two, and a breathtaking finale. And now Spain! I already know that David Zabel’s storytelling is making the most of all that is so beautiful and unique to Spain. We start shooting there in just a few weeks… such excitement looking forward!” Said Scott M. Gimple, chief content officer for The Walking Dead Universe: “France made Daryl and Carol’s story into an epic poem with what we found there. What’s to come in Spain may even surpass it — and we’re so damn happy to bring the audience more of the Terrific Two alongside new compelling characters, in a yet unseen, beautiful, horrific corner of their broken world.” Zabel said: “We are all very excited to continue the epic and intimate story of these two friends Daryl and Carol trying to get back home. Exploring new spectacular European settings, we look forward to dramatizing the ways in which the Walker apocalypse has done to Spain what it did to France.” Season two of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, The Book of Carol will premiere on AMC and AMC+ on September 29. When season one premiered in late 2023, it quickly became the #1 most-viewed premiere of all time on AMC+, the most-viewed season of any show in the history of AMC+ and a top acquisition driver in both the U.S. and Spain. It has only been eclipsed by The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live in those categories. AMC Networks Unveils First Look at Season 2 of ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ at San Diego Comic Con7/26/2024 Written by John Edward Betancourt
Truly, The Walking Dead: Dead City, was one of the most refreshing zombie stories to hit the airwaves in years for several reasons. For starters, it took us into the heart of a Manhattan ruled by the living dead, something that really hasn’t ever been seen in zombie themed fiction and it of course, brought forth a complex next chapter for two beloved characters in the franchise. Wherein Maggie and Negan had to face their complicated and brutal past and find a way to forge ahead and question… if real change is possible for people. A question that led to an amazing cliffhanger that we’ve been eager to see resolved.
But alas, we must wait until next year for that to happen. But thankfully, we have our first real taste of what we can expect from season two of this magnificent show. For earlier today at San Diego Comic Con, AMC Networks unveiled quite the epic first look at season two of this show. One that included a fantastic teaser trailer, the announcement of four new cast members, alongside some first-look photos and details on this new season. All of which we will share with you now. Because you’re as hungry as a walker for news regarding this show and it would be cruel to make you wait any longer. 'Today, AMC Networks’ The Walking Dead Universe returned to Comic-Con International’s Hall H with a star-studded panel for The Walking Dead: Dead City, moderated by Chris Hardwick. Executive Producer Eli Jorné, Executive Producers and Stars Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Cast Members Gaius Charles and Željko Ivanek surprised fans with an exclusive new teaser and casting announcements for season two, which returns to AMC and AMC+ next year. New images from the series were also released. Season Two casting announcements include:
The Walking Dead: Dead City follows fan-favorite characters Maggie (Cohan) and Negan (Morgan) as they travel into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, long ago cut off from the mainland. The crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror. In season two, in the growing war for control of Manhattan, Maggie and Negan find themselves trapped on opposite sides. As their paths intertwine, they come to see that the way out for both is more complicated and harrowing than they ever imagined.' First Look Photos

For geeks and nerds everywhere, or nerds that geek if you will, a magical weekend has arrived. For San Diego Comic Con is here at last, and with it comes so much joy. One complete with amazing cosplay, that sense of unity amongst the nerd community and of course… a chance to learn about new shows and new movies thanks to networks and studios showcasing upcoming shows and Peacock made sure to get into the game. For they hosted two major panels today, one of which offered up a sneak peek at an anticipated horror series.
For fans at the convention were able to enjoy a first look at, Teacup, and learn about the series from executive producers James Wan and Ian McCulloch and cast members Yvonne Strahovski, Scott Speedman, and Chaske Spencer, and what we learned… was amazing. In that, the show will now debut on October 10 this year, with a two-episode premiere, with new episodes arriving until Halloween and of course, first-look photos and a teaser were present, all of which we will share with you now, and more. Because Peacock and the team behind Teacup are beyond excited for everyone to enjoy this fascinating and creepy new series, and do not want you to miss you. ABOUT TEACUP TEACUP follows a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat in order to survive. Inspired by the New York Times bestselling novel Stinger by Robert McCammon. Premiere Date/Rollout: October 10, 2024 (2 Episodes Weekly) Writer / Executive Producer: Ian McCulloch (Yellowstone, Deputy, Chicago Fire) Director (101, 102) / Executive Producer: E.L. Katz (The Haunting of Bly Manor, Channel Zero) Executive Producers: James Wan (The Conjuring Universe, Archive 81, M3GAN), Michael Clear (Archive 81, Swamp Thing) and Rob Hackett (Archive 81, I Know What You Did Last Summer) for Atomic Monster, Francisca X. Hu, Kevin Tancharoen Executive Producer / Author (Stinger): Robert McCammon Cast: Yvonne Strahovski, Scott Speedman, Chaske Spencer, Kathy Baker, Boris McGiver, Caleb Dolden, Emilie Bierre, Luciano Leroux Studio: UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group Genre/Format: Horror Thriller, 8 x 30 Min Episodes A NOTE FROM IAN MCCULLOCH (SHOWRUNNER / EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) When Atomic Monster first approached me about creating a series adaptation of Robert McCammon’s Stinger—a no-holds-barred, gargantuan spectacle of a novel along the lines of The Stand, Independence Day and Mars Attacks—to be honest, I didn’t want to throw my hat in the ring. I’m not a spectacle writer. I’m a less-is-more writer. I gravitate more toward what are known as keyhole epics. Large stories told through small lenses. Think Signs, The Thing, A Quiet Place. But here’s the thing. I read Stinger and it stayed with me. Wouldn’t leave me alone. I just couldn’t stop thinking about its razor-sharp premise, how it unfolds over the course of a single harrowing day, and about the relatable and real family McCammon puts center stage. That’s when the flash bang-light bulb idea hit… What if I adapted Stinger in a way that honors the book and stays true to the kinds of stories I like to tell? Keep the conceit. Keep Stinger’s most effective elements. Take away the large ensemble. Take away the giant set pieces. Even take away the book’s crowded town setting. The adaptation would be like an acoustic guitar version of, say, a Radiohead song. It won’t have the production value, electronic instruments, loops, or synthesized bells and whistles but it will still have the melody, the structure, the lyrics, the real magic at the core, all the stuff that makes a great song a great song. All of which is to say I could suddenly see exactly what to do and how to do it. Two weeks later, Atomic Monster had the script for the first episode. Soon after that, Peacock bought it. Not so long after that, both my creative and career dreams actually started coming true as more scripts were written, hires made, actors cast, sets built, and production began… Of course, during production the series changed and evolved. Just as it should. Even the title’s different. Stinger is now Teacup. The reasons for this are too spoilery to share but watch the first few episodes and all will be revealed. Point being, the series is now very much its own thing: a puzzle-box mystery, an edge-of-your-seat thriller, a can’t-but-must look horror story, a family drama, a science fiction epic—of the keyhole variety, of course. But as singular, strange, and surprising as I hope Teacup is, all you need to do is peel away the layers, characters, situations, and mythology and look behind the thrills, chills, hairpin turns and make-you gasp reveals. Do all that and you’ll see, at its heart, Teacup is still very much standing on the shoulders of Stinger. Just as it should. A NOTE FROM JAMES WAN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) After reading Robert McCammon's book Stinger, the entire team at Atomic Monster felt a spark. The story had all the ingredients for a captivating series and Ian McCulloch had a vision to bring it to life in a fresh way that was both startling and darkly atmospheric, but filled with a rich sense of humanity — often lacking in edgy narratives. Add in our incredibly talented cast led by Yvonne Strahovski, Scott Speedman and Chaske Spencer and fans are in for a true edge-of-your-seat experience. Teacup defies easy labels. It's a genre-bending blend of horror, mystery, and drama, with layers that unfold like a captivating puzzle. It goes beyond chills and thrills and holds up a mirror to humanity, exploring the darkness that resides within us all. We hope you enjoy this wild ride as much as we've loved creating it!
