Written by Emily Auskaps 2020 has been a year none of us will soon forget. In a year marked by difficulty and uncertainty, it is almost essential to have something to which to look forward to. For the perfect fall escape, may I recommend the Pumpkin Harvest Festival at Four Mile Historic Park? This year, they are offering a fun and safe way to celebrate autumn and the fun things we associate with this time of year. The Pumpkin Harvest Festival allows visitors a chance to enjoy an old fashioned autumn experience that might just become an annual tradition. Four Mile Historic Park, the location of the festival, offers you a chance to travel back in time in your imagination and 12 acres provide plenty of space to safely revel in all there is to enjoy. While exploring the park, visitors will be able to listen to live music and participate in pioneer games. There will be photo booths, craft kits, and interactive entertainment along with a pumpkin walk included with entry. Family friendly events will take place throughout the day. Tickets, which should be purchased ahead of time and are available at fourmilepark.org, are required to allow for spaced entry and a socially distant way to safely enjoy this curated 90 minute experience. Additionally, there will be local vendors, and food trucks offering tasty treats, fall inspired beverages and a full bar. As a fun bonus for adults, Friday and Saturday will feature a Happy Hour from 6 pm to 8 pm. Pumpkins will be available for purchase from the park’s pumpkin patch to start your autumn off right. Four Mile Park is located at 715 S. Forest Street, in Denver, Colorado. The Pumpkin Harvest Festival will run from Friday, October 2nd to Sunday, October 4th. The hours on Friday and Saturday are 9 am to 8pm. Sunday’s hours are 9 am to 6 pm. Be sure to gather you fine fall revelers and plan to spend some quality time outdoors at the Pumpkin Harvest Festival this weekend!
