Yesterday, we made mention of the fact that Amazon Freevee was putting on quite the event in Los Angeles to celebrate its hit series, Jury Duty. In that over the course of June 14-16, the cast of the show would be popping up in various locations next to courthouses in Los Angeles, wherein they would serve up free tacos to anyone that dropped by to basically thank them for tuning in and to have a little fun. Which is a pretty epic and immersive event that sadly, anyone outside of Los Angeles won’t be able to attend. But that doesn’t mean you cannot enjoy this event from afar.

Because Amazon Freevee was kind enough to send over some photos from Day One of the event, allowing for all of us to live vicariously through the internet, and see the cast in action, slinging tacos and giving thanks, and well… without further ado, here are those photos for you to enjoy and a quick summary of the event. Along with tomorrow’s schedule if you’re in Los Angeles and want a taco and a celebrity experience, all to celebrate a wonderful event. One that is giving back to loyal fans and immersing them within a show they love.

‘Yesterday, the cast of Amazon Freevee's Jury Duty handed out free tacos in Studio City as day one of their FYC Taco Truck activation. Attendees at the activation got to meet and take photos with Ronald Gladden himself along with fellow cast members James Marsden, Alan Barinholtz, Susan Berger, Cassandra Blair, Ross Kimball, Brandon Loeser, Rashida Olayiwola, Whitney Rice, Maria Russell, Ishmel Sahid, Ben Seaward and Ron Song. The crew handed out custom JORF (Jury of Ronald's Friends) T-shirts, cookies, posters, and Freevee tote bags.
 
The 3-day FYC Taco Truck activation began in Studio City on Wednesday, June 14th, traveled to Beverly Hills on June 15th, and will be making its final stop at Abbot Kinney (1515 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA 90291) tomorrow, Friday June 16th.’

It is definitely safe to say that fans of The Walking Dead Universe, were dreaming of a trip to the Big Apple yesterday. Simply because, The Walking Dead: Dead City, descended upon Manhattan to give life to a Walker Infestation event to celebrate the release of this epic new chapter in the TWD Universe. One where walkers were scattered about the city to greet (and thankfully not eat) anyone that dropped by for a hot slice or a hot dog. Not to mention, Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan), Gaius Charles (Armstrong), Željko Ivanek (The Croat) and Mahina Napoleon (Ginny) were on hand at Katz’s Deli to meet the fans.

All of which so many fans wanted to partake in. But thankfully, through the magic of the internet… there are ways of enjoying the moment from afar and that’s what we are here to help with today. Since AMC Networks and the good folks at The Walking Dead: Dead City, were kind enough to provide us with a bevy of pictures, a recap video, and some brief notes on the day of the dead that took place in New York City, and hopefully these photos will bring a smile to your face and further prepare you, for the Sunday night series premiere of the boldest and bravest TWD series to date.

‘On Wednesday, June 14, AMC Networks’ The Walking Dead Universe took over iconic New York City establishments ahead of the highly anticipated premiere of The Walking Dead: Dead City, set in a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, on Sunday, June 18 at 9:00pm ET on AMC and AMC+. 
 
Series stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lauren Cohan, Gaius Charles, Željko Ivanek and Mahina Napoleon stopped by Katz’s Deli, where the first 200 customers were treated to a complimentary half pastrami sandwich and 4 oz. coleslaw.
 
AMC also partnered with other famed NYC establishments including H&H Bagels, Joe’s Pizza, the New York Hot Dog King Cart, and more. Each location featured merchandise giveaways and the show’s legendary Walkers, along with treats from the NYC staples.’

It really is a wonderful time to be a fan of television. Because not only are there a bevy of incredible programs for us to watch at any given time, but the networks are working to make our viewing experiences as immersive and as interactive as possible once again. For events that are fun and themed around shows we love are popping up everywhere again, as evidenced by what Amazon Freevee is up to in Los Angeles. For they are eager to celebrate the success of Jury Duty by offering thanks to the many people that tuned in to watch it, and what better way to say thanks… than by serving up tacos in the most incredible and immersive way imaginable? 

Which is why, Los Angeles residents can swing by several Los Angeles courthouses over the next few days to enjoy a free taco in honor of the show, one served to them… by various members of the cast. Yes, you read that right, not only can you get a tasty taco, but you can also say hello to cast members and take part in the unique experience of having them hand you that delectable delight and that really is quite awesome to say the least, and pretty darn immersive.
