The NFL Roundup Week 15 - The Most Fascinating Games to Watch on Sunday

Perhaps the best part about being a football fan this late in the season, is that we are treated to some incredible games as teams that are on the bubble, or already headed to the postseason are doing their best to give us perfection on the field.

They know they have to be sharp. They know they cannot make mistakes, because those are the kinds of things that send teams home rather than to the Super Bowl and those are the kinds of games that will be fascinating to watch this weekend. Because these are the matchups that feature teams that have to be perfect or watch as everything they've worked so hard to accomplish this season slip away, meaning that we are in for some spectacular games this weekend and here are the ones revolving around perfection that we will be keeping an eye on come tomorrow.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS AT DENVER BRONCOS
4:25 p.m. EST - CBS

This is a game filled to the brim with some fascinating storylines. On one hand, the New England Patriots want a big time win to help move them toward the AFC East Division Title and Home Field Advantage throughout the playoffs and on the other hand...the Denver Broncos are about to play their biggest game of the year. They're a team that has struggled through fourteen games to get the offense going with any sense of consistency and a loss here would be outright devastating to their playoff chances. Which means that if there was ever a time for the Broncos offense to come together and play well this would be it. That would mean the offensive line has to play as a collective unit and protect their quarterback and help generate the run. If they can pull that off, then the Broncos will have plenty to celebrate, but truth be told, it's more likely that New England will walk out of Denver with the win.

TENNESSEE TITANS AT KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
​1:00 p.m. EST - CBS

It's been quite a while since I've heard the phrase 'Trap Game' used in the NFL and well, I think that phrase is due for a comeback, because this game has that written all over it. Sure, the Chiefs are a darn good football team and sure they will send bombs to their receivers all day long to take advantage of Tennessee's porous secondary, but upon further review, maybe it would be unwise to write off the Titans in this game. After all, they did manage to attack every weakness the Broncos have on offense last week, and it wouldn't shock me to see them do the same to Kansas City and potentially upset the delicate playoff picture in the AFC. Either way, I suddenly have the feeling this game might be a little more difficult than the Chiefs are expecting it to be and don't be surprised if Tennessee manages to pull off quite the upset in this one.

DETROIT LIONS AT NEW YORK GIANTS
1:00 p.m. EST - FOX

Speaking of perfection, this game personifies the word. Both of these teams are 9-4, and looking to improve their playoff standings. For the Lions, it's all about locking up the NFC North and a victory over the Giants would help them with that. The Giants on the other hand are looking to keep themselves in the playoff hunt since they're the #5 seed and their only way into the contest is that all important Wild Card berth. Which means both of these scrappy squads are no doubt going to give it their all on the field and this is another one of those games that could either turn into a wild shootout, or a defensive Battle Royale, but either way it should be one heck of a game and truth be told, this is a tough one to call, but if I had to guess who might win this one I would have to say Detroit, simply because they have done a phenomenal job of finding ways to win all season long.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS AT DALLAS COWBOYS
Sunday Night Football - 8:30 p.m. EST - ESPN

A week ago I would have said point blank that there was no way the Buccaneers were going to win this game in the slightest considering the way Dallas was playing. But then the Giants came along and surprised everyone by upsetting the mighty Cowboys on national television, meaning...there is a chance that Tampa Bay could win this game and shock Dallas once again and the formula for that is simple...do what New York did. They confused Dak Prescott all night long with coverages he had never seen before, and they flat out put an end to the run game, leaving the Cowboys without an answer on offense. If Tampa Bay's defense can pull that off then expect another incredible upset to happen on Sunday Night Football. But in reality, I get the feeling Dallas will right the ship in this game and walk away with the victory.
