The AFC Champion New England Patriots vs. The NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks

Well the big day is finally here and although it has been a rough season, two teams that started off very slowly have made it to the big dance.  With all that has been going on around the league in the past couple of weeks, it is all about who the better team is and after watching the Conference playoff games two weeks back, I see one team with a killer instinct that will win it all. It saddens me to say that will be picking the Patriots to win the Super Bowl this year as they are in the midst of another controversy, but they have found a way to win games using all of the rules to their disposal.  Normally I would go against an AFC team that is not the Broncos, but with what I saw in their last couple of games is the anything to win attitude and never talking their foot off the gas and throttling their opponents.  I would say the same thing about the Seahawks, however their last performance was rather poor when not being able to get anything together on offense until the fourth quarter.  This does not fly in the final game of the season as the winningest quarterback in playoff history takes the field.

I watched something magical happen during the NFC Championship game, something that is rare to be honest. I was witness to a team completely and utterly realize what would happen if they didn't start showing some fight. I watched a team realize that one more mistake, one more lost play and the season would end. Suddenly everything in the game changed and the Seattle Seahawks who finally woke up late in the third came back to win a second straight trip to the Super Bowl.  That kind of self awareness is scary because usually when a team sees it slipping away, they let it slip away. The psychology of it all becomes too much to bear and that becomes that. But not Seattle, they seem to have a good handle with what's at stake tonight and that's dangerous for the New England Patriots. This may well turn out like last year, with a mantra of who wants it more and quite frankly, I think Seahawks are still hungry for a championship and I think this is another game where we end up questioning Tom Brady's ability when Seattle hoists the Lombardi Trophy once again.
