One thing that fans of animation films can agree upon, is that Megamind remains a true favorite in the minds and hearts of so many. Simply because it was a refreshing and fun story that we all found something special within, and it is one we share with others as often as possible, because of how much fun it provides. But alas, for a long, long time… that movie has served as all there is to the story. One that could accomplish more if by chance a sequel or more was available and well, after all this time, we have arrived at the moment where the Megamind franchise has expanded at last, courtesy of Peacock.
For earlier today, Peacock let it be known that Alan Schoolcraft and Brent Simons, who wrote the film we adore, are the executive producers of a new film, and a new series set in this universe (alongside Eric Fogel), and that we are super close to enjoying new Megamind stories. For March 1, 2024, will see Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate, and Megamind Rules! debut on Peacock and what a treat that is going to be… as evidenced by the other gift that Peacock sent our way.
