Paramount+ Launches New Immersive ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ Experience in Apple Vision Pro

It’s been a big week for the Apple Vision Pro. For studio after studio are taking the time to announce some incredible immersive environments for this headset, the kind that are going to help people learn and of course, stay entertained, and in the case of todays’ announcement from Paramount+, outright celebrate an animated legend. For this year does mark the 25th Anniversary of SpongeBob SquarePants, one of the biggest animated shows to ever hit the airwaves and that is why earlier today, Paramount+ in association with Nickelodeon, announced that an immersive ‘Bikini Bottom’ experience is coming to the Apple Vision Pro.

Wherein users of the Paramount+ app on the device, can transport themselves to Bikini Bottom and enjoy a direct view of that iconic pineapple-under-the-sea, and so much more. Plus, they can interact with three dimensional houses and characters from this amazing show, play a mini ‘Jellyfishing’ game and of course, watch all of the best content on Paramount+ with SpongeBob and friends. All of which is designed to pay proper tribute to 25 amazing years of this incredible franchise, and of course, the fact that there are new features and content on the service only add to that. Such as new profile avatars, a refreshed SpongeBob Universe collection, a takeover on the app’s loading page and so much more.

But of course, at this point, you’re likely curious as to how to get in on the fun, and we are more than happy to help with that. So, without further ado, here are some instructions on how to access this immersive experience, courtesy of Paramount+, so you can properly celebrate the 25th Anniversary of this iconic franchise.

Dive into Bikini Bottom with the Paramount+ app built for Apple Vision Pro:

• Download and open the Paramount+ app for Apple Vision Pro.
• Look to the left side to open the navigation menu, then look and tap on the mountain icon.
• Tap on the environment, then tap OK, and your space will transform into Bikini Bottom.

 
Note: Apple Vision Pro is designed to fit and be used by individuals 13 years of age and older, and should not be used by children under the age of 13.
 
Navigating the Bikini Bottom environment:

• Interact with houses and characters from the series: Tap on any of the houses to interact with SpongeBob characters voiced by the original cast including Tom Kenny as SpongeBob SquarePants, Bill Fagerbakke as Patrick Star, and Rodger Bumpass as Squidward. Users can also tap bubbles to pop them. 

 

• Play a mini-Jellyfishing Game: Tap on SpongeBob at any time to open the “Jellyfishing” game. To play, users can tap to catch jellyfish before time runs out. The game is also available in a "free-play" mode so users can leisurely catch jellyfish while enjoying the Bikini Bottom environment. Note: Selecting the character will pause video playback.

 

• Enjoy shows, movies and more from Paramount+: Stream SpongeBob SquarePants and other content from Paramount+. When you watch content in Bikini Bottom, the environment dims, and SpongeBob will watch along with you while he sits nearby enjoying some popcorn.
