Written by John Edward BetancourtTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...After last week's incredibly dark episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I was curious to see where we would go this week and while there was still some dark and foreboding moments last night, the sense of adventure returned as Lady Sif once again returned to earth with a specific purpose in mind that she...couldn't remember in "Who You Really Are". Yes, the Asgardian warrior was suffering from amnesia when the team finally met up with her, quickly learning thanks to the internet that she was kicking the crap out of a mystery man who could hold his own against her before she lost the fight and her memory. Upon further investigation it just happens to turn out that the mystery man in question is no mere mortal, but a member of the Kree designed to look like a human being, and he is carrying a weapon that can wipe out one's memories, something he used on Sif, in order to keep him on track and execute his mission. It turns out he is here because of a mistake made by his species long ago when they came to earth to tinker with its people and their DNA to recruit them as warrior weapons in a war that the Kree had suffered many losses in. But, the experiments came to an end, and now we know why Skye and Raina have seen such significant changes...their DNA was fixed up to make them weapons. The only downside to this visit...he's here to find all the "abominations" as he put it and eliminate them from the planet, and it is at this point that Skye's secret is revealed to all, and that makes her a target for both Sif and the Kree. Thankfully, Coulson and his team are able to put the Kree down with his own memory wiping weapon and convince Lady Sif to leave Skye in their care, but this is not without its consequences. The team seems quite divided by Fitz not letting them know she has special abilities now that the secret is out. It's alienated her from the team completely and to make matters worse, something shady is going on with Bobbi and Mack. What seemed like a simple hunt for Fury's toolbox last week has turned into an all out conspiracy, leading to Hunter being rendered unconscious. So, to say the team is in tatters would be an understatement. They're still hurting from their losses, and despite their incredible victory over Hydra last week...they no longer seem to trust one another or care for each other like they did at the end of last season. It's a tragic turn of events to say the least, one that is also heartbreaking since all these characters are so likeable. Coulson at the moment seems oblivious to this and I'm hoping something special comes along to unite this team because man...they need to come together, and quick. Until next time.
