Written by John Edward Betancourt There was a time where television and education really didn’t mix all that well. For so many saw T.V. as a strictly entertainment based medium. The kind that would allow for people to just kick back and enjoy some laughs and fun stories after a long day’s work. A reality that pushed actual educational shows to specific networks and time slots, to not interfere with that experience. But as the years have rolled along and everyone has come to discover how television is a far more powerful medium than was originally given credit, that stance has changed. In fact, television is now often viewed as a wonderful way to educate children and anyone willing to learn. Since its flexibility from a storytelling standpoint allows for it to tell stories that can be both entertaining and educational and with the streaming era now upon us… educational shows are being embraced and are popping up left and right, and one network that is leading the way with this type of entertainment is Apple TV+. For they continue to release shows that inspire and teach and promote discussion in the household, and their ability to continue to impress with this kind of content is top of mind today, simply because… another quality project in that vein is about to arrive on the network. For earlier today, Apple TV+ announced the release date and cast roster for the upcoming series, Jane. A show designed to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Jane Goodall and of course, to teach children about the wonder of our world and the incredible life that we share it with, and the importance of using our intelligence and ingenuity and outright prowess, to preserve that life and the various biospheres wildlife resides within. Which is an ambitious educational project for sure, but one that Apple TV+ has undoubtedly figured out how to bring to life in a compelling and engaging manner, and to give you an idea of how incredible this project is going to be, here are all the details on this series, and that release date and roster, courtesy of Apple TV+. ‘Apple TV+ today unveiled the launch date and cast for “Jane,” a new 10-episode mission-driven series for kids and families inspired by the work of Dr. Jane Goodall.
