THIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...
The flu virus situation comes to a head, the scourge of walkers outside the prison walls have become an incredible threat and old friend returns, whether the group knows it or not. Holy crap, The Walking Dead went for broke last night with an action packed episode and a surprise guest star that took our breath away. So let's waste no time and get right down to recapping "Internment"!
The Good: Holy hell, where do I begin? This was just an outstanding episode from start to finish. In fact I will put it to you this way, I was actually pacing during the middle of the episode. With the zombies tearing down the gates, to the ones waking within the prison, I almost couldn't handle this one. Just one cool moment after another. The badassery of Carl has come full circle, old Rick was back through and through and wow...who knew Hershel was such a freakin' hero? This man is just plain amazing and Scott Wilson's performance almost stole the show. But seriously, I think the last time The Walking Dead tugged on my emotional strings this hard was last year's "Clear". But for all the cool stuff that happened last night, let's get down to the most bone shattering moment of the show. I'm talking about when our brains exploded out of our skulls when the Governor appeared. I honestly thought they were saving him for the mid season finale but oh no...this lunatic is back, and it cannot mean good for the group.
The Bad: Well, I loved this episode so much I will once again invent a gripe...maybe that the Governor only shows up for a minute?
The Verdict: Sometimes I wonder if this show is just plain screwing with us. It probably is in fact. Because just when it seems like the flu storyline may drag on longer than needed, they go and do this. A walker filled episode and the return of the Governor. Kudos to you Walking Dead for bringing us another incredible episode and bringing back the best villain on TV!
