THIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...
Are you guys ready? Our beloved show has gone from Tuesday nights back to Wednesdays, and it looks like they’re all back to getting into trouble. When last we saw our boys, they were busy formulating a plan. Just kidding. Dean had long since made peace with the fact he would never be rid of the mark, and it seemed Sam was not all right with that. Still, the older Winchester pushed on, and within no time at all they were on the case.
Castiel, on the other hand, was busy hunting down Cain. Little did any of them know that both the case and Cain were entangled in a way that would bring them all together. Cain was busy hunting down his bloodline, well, 10% of his bloodline, and killing them. He reasoned that his line was tainted with bloodlust, and mostly, he was a bit right. So, there was that. At least he was cool enough to bury the people all in the same area. His next target, however, was a kid, and nobody was letting that happen. Except maybe Crowley, but he was busy doing Demon things.
Well, mostly being manipulated by his Mother. Thankfully he’s seen through some of it. When Dean called saying they needed the First Blade, Crowley was all too happy to help. Well, sort of. He was willing to allow Dean to use the Blade for a short time, but demanded it be given back to him. The plan was simple, get Cain to come to them, and Dean kills him. Why? Because he is kind of crazy. And Cain made Dean promise he would some day. It all went according to plan, but Cain had a few parting words. He told Dean who he would end up killing in order, due to the Mark, and knew the Mark itself would inevitably drive the older Winchester to the same path it drove Cain. There is no cure, no escape, and isn’t that awful…
Cain met his end and all seemed right with the world. Dean gave the First Blade to Castiel, instead of Crowley, and if that wasn’t a kick in the feels, I don’t know what is…
What’s in store for tonight??? We’ll have to see.
